I am looking to test the waters at creating a ranking/scoring system for dueling and group vs group combat on this site.
To start, lets get some ideas going at how we could set this up. My initial thoughts are it could be everyone has a score which determines rankings. When you challenge and win or lose to someone, your scores are compared and are moved up or down accordingly.
Thoughts
-A minimum participation will be required
-Scores will be calculated based on time submitted to the site and will roll up from there
-scores will drop a set amount of points per week (so someone cant win then refuse to do anymore)
-a maximum points amount and minimum will be set for wins and losses
-the idea is to have it largely community run, with set rules/procedures
-meant to just be a part of a side game to promote the game and build interest, not replace rvr or scens in any way
-promote participation

Obviously we are going to need some good people to help organize this and special events surrounding this. If you are interested, let me know.
Prizes
I would love to provide some prizes for top players/groups (maybe pancakes?). This is TBD, but once we get things ironed out and set a start/end date for a points race and see what we can come up with.
Getting started
Initial testing would use 1v1 and Iron Rock to get things ironed out. My goal would be to add groups asap. If any other servers have a strong dueling community, please toss them this way so I can chat with them and get them onboard as well.
